Dress for the occasion!

Congrats, you’re scheduled for a job interview! Now you have to prepare for the day itself. Aside from researching the company, you should dress to impress. With the right attire, you will look and feel like a confident young professional. Not to mention, the way you style yourself will show how well-prepared you are for the interview.

1. Research on the company culture & industry standards. It is crucial that you familiarize yourself with the industry and the company you’re going to be interviewing for. Not only will you be well-informed, but when it comes to dressing up for the interview, an applicant should always come in business attire even if the company culture is informal.

2. Keep it simple and neutral! This is where your research comes in. The ‘norm’ for each industry differs, but just to be safe, it would be best to stick to neutral colors like blacks, whites, greys, and blues. Additionally, you should keep your accessories and fragrances to a minimum. Over-accessorizing or wearing perfume that’s too strong might leave a bad impression on the interviewer.

3. Keep your hands and fingernails clean. Small details like well-kept hair, natural make-up, and having proper hygiene can help you score extra points with the interviewer.
