STI and Philippine Red Cross Seal Partnership
| | To continuously promote volunteerism towards nation-building, STI Education Services Group, Inc. (STI ESG) and STI Foundation signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on February 21, 2020 at the headquarters of the said humanitarian organization in Mandaluyong City.
The partnership aims to conduct volunteer activities such as voluntary non-remunerated blood donation (VNRBD) drives and psychosocial support services as well as school emergency drills and simulations.
It also seeks to promote a healthy lifestyle with emphasis on the prevention of substance abuse and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The promotion of humanitarian values and principles is also one of the partnership’s objectives.
As part of the collaboration, Philippine Red Cross gladly offers internship opportunities to graduating senior high school and college students of STI.
To prove its commitment to the holistic development of its students and personnel, STI strongly pursues excellence by coming up with ideas on how to provide individuals with opportunities that are relevant to their academic and personal growth. With this, the institution ensures that learners as well as faculty members and non-teaching staff will be able to reach their full potential by meeting different social circles, learning new skills, and connecting with the community through volunteerism.
–Connie Sablay, Executive Director of STI Foundation
