STI Alumni Continuing Education Seminar

Two well-established industry professionals will take the floor to give their inside tips on how to succeed in this ever-shifting and progressing professional setting. The seminar will be conducted on February 6, 2016 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 NN at the 7th Floor, Multipurpose Room, STI Academic Center in Global City, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Manila, and will open its doors to 300 members of STIAA.

“When our students are still with us, we give them an updated and relevant education because we stand by our cause to prepare them for their future beyond graduation. However, still as members of the STI community, we continue to find ways to train them. This time around, instead of using books and our courseware, we use motivation as a tool for them to become better in whatever venture they are pursuing. Becoming better means making new acquaintances to establish a strong network of people they can collaborate with, setting goals, and finding the drive to make it to the finish line,” shares STI Vice President for Academics Dr. Lloyd Bautista in a statement.

One of the guest speakers is Weena Christine (Tinette) Cortes, a pro in motivating and promoting professional development. For 18 years, she holds specialized experience in Business Development, Operations, Marketing and Sales in five-star hotels and training consultancy. She is the Founder and the Managing Director of ConsultAsia Professional Solutions, Inc. (CPSI), and runs a separate training company that caters to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). She has also been made a partner consultant by companies from various industries including Hospitality, Retail, Real Estate, Sales, Fashion, Health and Wellness, Automotive, Government, Power, and Universities, both locally and abroad.

Anthony Pangilinan, on the other hand, is the key speaker who will share the tricks of his success at the heart of the event. An accomplished businessman working as the Chairman and Chief Distributor of Businessworks, Inc., his list of expertise also includes international speaker, trainer and management consultant for various companies in over 70 countries. He was also a prominent figure as a newscaster, and currently the Program Designer and Host of “Magbago Tayo”, a weekly change management program over Radyo Singko and Aksyon TV of TV5. He is also the Founding Head of the PLDT-Smart Foundation. Anthony is a recipient of two Anvil Awards for innovative educational campaigns for parents and the youth.

Believing in continuous learning, STI supports its graduates and help them fulfill their own success by creating opportunities to create connections, learn the ways of productivity, and become better and more proficient in their fields of choice.
